Ryan is an artist and an author who
turns his love of observation into art.

Ryan Hoskins is a conceptual artist, abstract painter, and Light & Color Theorist living in Portland, Oregon. To Ryan, each Light and each Color has a special significance, and all humans contain and express the Lights and the Colors of our Universe. In addition to creating original artwork for private clients and designers, he loves exploring the metaphorical and spiritual relevance of Light and Color.

He has cataloged his many observations on Light and Color into the book Light & Color Theory, while also creating a portrait series that profiles the Lights and the Colors of the unique people in his life.

Born in San Francisco, California, Ryan attended Brown University where he earned a bachelor’s degree in economics and visual arts. He deeply enjoys partnering with designers, commercial property owners, and private clients to create unique interior spaces featuring original abstract paintings and artwork.
